PLATTE x FABRIC
A Creative City Partnership between Berlin and Hamburg

With PLATTE x FABRIC, a new collaboration is emerging between the creative hubs of Berlin and Hamburg, connecting designers, labels, and institutions from both cities. The initiative brings together the Berlin-based platform PLATTE.Berlin and Hamburg’s FABRIC - Future Fashion Lab, creating new opportunities for exchange, production, and visibility within Germany’s fashion and design landscape.

FABRIC - Future Fashion Lab positions itself as a space for sustainable fashion, urban production, and collaborative development - featuring workshops, prototyping facilities, and shared workspaces for designers and companies. It is an initiative of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft and is funded by Hamburg's Ministry of Culture and Media, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, and the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Agriculture.

The launch of the collaboration will take place during a Press & Designer Brunch on March 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at PLATTE.Berlin. Representatives from design, media, institutions, and the creative industries will come together to officially introduce the partnership and discuss its first perspectives.

The Hamburg-based production initiative Made auf Veddel will also be presented.
For many years, it has combined craftsmanship with social integration and professional training.
