Synergy of Innovation

PLATTE Pride Week began with an engaging and insightful panel talk divided into two parts, offering diverse perspectives on queer culture.

The first part, Synergy of Innovation, delved into the current state and future opportunities for queer cultural events in Berlin, emphasizing the role of political support in advancing queer art and culture. Speakers included Stella Bailleux from Berlin CSD e.V., Alfonso Pantisano from Queeres Berlin, and Michael Biel, State Secretary.

The second part, Intersectionality of Queerness in the Creative Industries, highlighted the experiences of queer people in art, music, and fashion. Featuring Model Gigi Spelsberg, Artist Cat Jones, and Multidisciplinary Artist Naomi Boima, the discussion explored challenges and opportunities in navigating these industries with an intersectional lens.

Both panels were moderated by Chiponda Chimbelu.
